EXPERIENCE RANGE

The vineyard of La Chapinière is rooted in the Val de Cher, valley of the Kings and the Loire Castles. Chenonceaux, one of the notable designations of the AOC Touraine, comes in white and red. More confidential, the latter honors a historic grape variety of the region : Côt, known elsewhere as Malbec. The wines, like the eponymous Château, evoke harmony between Nature influenced by the Cher and a culture shaped by centuries of history and unique architecture.

CUVÉE STORY

Our Touraine Chenonceaux vines thrive on the slopes along the river banks, cultivated according to organic farming principles. This specific terroir is distinguished by the potential and structure of the wines produced there; the blend of Côt and Cabernet Franc benefits from the long aging on lees.

VINTAGE

After a mild and wet winter, the vine budburst was among the earliest. With a sunny spring, frosts spared the vineyard, which continued its early development. The summer drought concentrated the grapes, producing small but healthy and rich bunches. The life-saving rains at the end of August prevented ripening blockages, ensuring a harvest in optimal conditions. Ultimately, an early vintage with exceptional ripeness and quality.

TASTING

Deep purple color with violet hints. The nose offers black berry aromas ; the palate is generous, combining notes of plum, blackberry, and violet. A full-bodied and structured wine with a spicy finish.

FOOD & WINE PAIRING

For a friendly barbecue, enjoy it with grilled meats, merguez or spit-roasted suckling pig; for a sunny getaway, serve it with moussaka, vegetable tian, or chakchouka.
